چکیده
High-frequency ultrasonic transducers have been implemented as a powerful tool for modern medical diagnosis and therapy. Most current use piezoelectric ceramics electromechanical couplings, which will undergo periodic electro-acoustic transitions at high frequencies (≥20 MHz), thereby requiring reliability. This work presents structural engineering strategy to improve the piezoelectricity reliability of potassium sodium niobate (KNN)-based with potential high-frequency imaging transducers. The KNN-based exhibit fatigue-free behavior enhanced (d33 ∼550 ± 20 pC N−1), mechanisms are discussed in view multi-dimensions from macroscopy microscopy. Considering synergistic effect multi-phase coexistence, well-kept microstructure, flexible domain rotation, property-worsening cracks during fatigue restrained; furthermore, aggregation space charges is hindered, reducing pinned improving resistance. Based on high-performance piezoceramics, fabricated transducer has steady sensitivity an unchanged broad bandwidth (∼76%) room temperature 80°C. In addition, images tilapia eyeball scanned confirm capability We expect that novel approach achieving performance through promotes devices biomedical imaging.

High temperature ultrasonic transducers: review
The problems of development of high-temperature ultrasonic transducers for modern science and technology applications are analysed. More than 10 piezoelectric materials suitable for operation at high temperatures are overviewed. It is shown that bismuth titanate based piezoelectric elements are most promisable. Bonding methods of piezoelectric elements to a protector and backing are discussed. ...
متن کاملModelling of a novel high-impedance matching layer for high frequency (>30 MHz) ultrasonic transducers.
This work describes a new approach to impedance matching for ultrasonic transducers. A single matching layer with high acoustic impedance of 16 MRayls is demonstrated to show a bandwidth of around 70%, compared with conventional single matching layer designs of around 50%. Although as a consequence of this improvement in bandwidth, there is a loss in sensitivity, this is found to be similar to ...
متن کاملIntegrated and Flexible High Temperature Ultrasonic Transducers
Thick (> 40μm) ceramic films as piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers (UTs) have been successfully deposited on metallic and graphite/epoxy composite substrates by a spray technique. The characteristics of these UTs are that they (1) can be integrated directly onto the desired planar or curved substrates; (2) may not need couplant; (3) can operate in the transmission and pulse/echo modes with a ...
متن کاملHigh Frequency and High Fill Factor Piezoelectric Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducers Based on Cavity Soi Wafers
This paper presents a high frequency and high fill factor piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducer (PMUT) array, which is fabricated with a simple and CMOS compatible process based on commercially available cavity SOI wafers. This 2-mask process eliminates the need for through-wafer etching and enables 10× higher fill factor and thereby higher acoustic performance. PMUTs based on both ...
متن کاملHigh Temperature Integrated and Flexible Ultrasonic Transducers for NDT
Integrated (IUTs) and flexible ultrasonic transducers (FUTs) are presented for NDT at high temperatures. These transducers are made of sol-gel sprayed piezoelectric thick (> 40μm) ceramic films. The ceramic materials are lead-zirconate-titanate, bismuth titanate and lithium niobate which are for thickness measurement up to 150°C, 400°C and 800°C, respectively. The IUT can be also deposited onto...
